Eki, Toa of Dark Waters by Lol-Pretzel Eki, Toa of Dark Waters by Lol-Pretzel
Caught in the crossfire during an assault on her home island of Poliaz, Eki was transformed into a Shadow Matoran at an early age. She was quickly ferried to the holy island of Korrothis before the infection set in in full, leaving her Water side almost intact.
Eki and the shadowlord, Nivorn, became close. The union of Makuta and Matoran is abhorrent to most, but perhaps they just like the controversy it stirs up. Eki is now a powerful toa who serves as a guardian of the Weave when called upon, and an expert toa tutor when she isn't.

I had never planned to make Eki into a toa until I ran across a small contest on MOCpages with a deep sea theme. She was perfect for what the rules were asking for. She was intended to be a matoran again until I stumbled across a brilliant new female body design, shaped like the old one, but stronger, simpler and easier to adapt to different sizes. In the case of Eki I wanted her to look somewhat stocky/chunky like her matoran form was. Her claws are an almost direct copy of Thorn's. She was also featured in the last Gallitor Report!

As always, this MOC has been posted on MOCpages already. For more angles, a deeper look into her backstory and lore and a lot of other MOCs, feel free to check it out. :)

I normally don't like "bikini" armour, but here it seemed strangely fitting.

I have to say that it at least gives some distinction between gender.

Very impressive. I really like how you did the lower legs and especially the way you contrasted the flat black armor with the smooth blue pieces, really makes the colors pop.

Well cheers! :)

Alas, not everyone likes the lower legs. They're the right shape, but her knees can only bend, like... 20 degrees. :I
