A somewhat complex, hunched remake of Onua using the parts Lego Digital Designer had to offer. It's a curious thing; while the selection of parts available is quite small, and illegal connections can't be used, physics doesn't apply. Onua doesn't have floating components, but that's possible. He uses colours Lego has not released and a lot of parts I've never even heard of. What's best about LDD, however, is that you can send an LDD file to someone else with the program and let others dissect your designs, instead of going through all the rigmarole of building instructions and so on. Onua has a MOCpage! [link]
not only illegal connections, last time I tried you can't even put mini pins into pin holes. As for the physics thing, that probably makes complex Technic gimmicks impossible to test
I think if you refined this design to use more current parts and colors, it'd have just the right balance of nostalgia and realism to make a good LEGO Cuusoo proposal. I've tried to put together retro BIONICLE/HF MOCs for Cuusoo proposals but I've never posted them because in the end they ended up looking too "artificial", so to speak-- in other words, Hero Factory fans wouldn't care for them since they were too plain, while BIONICLE fans would see them as a half-hearted tribute much like the BIONICLE Stars.
