Red Rock Crab by Lol-Pretzel Red Rock Crab by Lol-Pretzel
A little WIP I've had going for a while. She uses a few odd parts, including an old school technic chair and a set of minifig horse reins.
She is loosely based on the Christmas Island Red Crab.
More shots and such here!

I really like some of the pieces here used to shape the crab body. That Nitroblast HF head and the hoods in particular work wonders.

Hey you're not dead. :la:

This is adorable mate. Love what you did with the minifig hoods. The chair part seems like an odd inclusion though. Did you use it just to use it or is there more meaning behind its inclusion? I'm not most familiar with various species of crabs, do some of them have square butts? :XD:

I used it mostly because it was one of those times when inspiration carried me along for the ride. The chair covered up some grey bits and gave room to add the eggs in. And also because yeah, if I didn't use it there I probably never would.

And yes. Probably. They vary a lot. But the species this one is based off is quite funny lookin' :)

It's in the dooblydoo but there's no particular link... I wanted to link everyone to the clip from Blue Planet that inspired me to make it but I can't find it anywhere sadly.

Please don't cook these... ABS doesn't taste as good as it looks! Plus it's got the red part from the top of my head in there and I need that unmelted preferably.
